Election Platform
The NCCU Raleigh-Wake Alumni Chapter will conduct its 2026 Special Election electronically using Election Buddy, the same secure voting platform utilized by the NCCU National Alumni Association.
Eligible Voters
Only financially active (paid) chapter members in good standing will be eligible to vote in the Special Election.
Each eligible member will receive:
- One (1) electronic ballot
- Delivered via the email address on file with the Chapter
Voting Period
The Special Election voting period will open and close as follows:
- Voting Opens: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 8:00 AM
- Voting Closes: Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM
No ballots will be accepted after the official closing time.
Ballot Security & Integrity
To ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the election process:
- Each ballot is unique and assigned to an individual eligible voter.
- Ballots are non-transferable and may not be shared or forwarded.
- Attempting to forward, duplicate, or share a ballot link may result in the ballot being voided and deemed ineligible for counting.
- Members are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of their ballot link.
Election Buddy maintains a secure voting process designed to prevent duplicate voting and unauthorized ballot access.
Voting Instructions
Eligible voters should:
- Check their email inbox for the Election Buddy ballot notification.
- Follow the instructions provided in the email.
- Submit their completed ballot prior to the election deadline.
Members are encouraged to also check their spam or junk folders if the ballot email is not immediately visible.
Election Results
Official election results will be announced during the in-person Chapter Meeting on:
Thursday, May 28, 2026
The results presented during the meeting will serve as the official certified outcome of the Special Election.
