1. Why are you seeking this office at this time?
I seek the office of VP to help continue the strong legacy of our chapter while positioning us for future growth and success. Over the past 10 years, I have actively served on various committees and gained valuable insight into the chapter’s operations, strengths, and opportunities. I witnessed periods of both high engagement and rebuilding, and I was proud to support efforts that helped grow our membership to 236 members. I believe in leading with vision, collaboration and purpose. As a change agent with strong interpersonal, leadership, and professional skills, I am prepared to help guide our chapter forward and restore our premier standing.
2. What are your top three priorities for the chapter during your term?
My top three priorities align closely with our chapter’s mission and purpose. First, I will develop consistent, meaningful programming that educates, inspires, and supports members across life stages and careers. As VP and chair of the Program Committee, I will ensure our programs address professional development, wellness, retirement, student engagement, community needs, and university initiatives and programs. Second, I will strengthen connections among students, alumni, new members, and seasoned members to foster unity, mentorship, and active participation. Third, I would increase the chapter’s visibility through impactful service and programs that positively reflect our university while meeting the needs of the community we serve.
3. How will you increase member engagement, participation, and financial membership within the chapter?
I will increase member engagement, participation, and financial membership growth by creating an inclusive environment where members feel valued, informed, and connected to the university and chapter mission. I believe alumni seek meaningful opportunities to serve, contribute, build relationships, and enjoy the experience. Through purposeful programming, consistent communication, member recognition, and shared ownership of chapter initiatives, we can strengthen participation and retention. My leadership style emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and respect for members’ ideas and talents while encouraging involvement aligned with their strengths and interests. I will also focus on recruiting new members, encouraging renewals, and supporting fundraising and alumni giving opportunities to sustain long-term chapter success.
